Wow. . . I’m still recovering from the exhilarating news that one of my images has been selected as one of the 150 winning images in Elliott Erwitt’s Fresh M.I.L.K competition!!!! The competition was looking for outstanding images that document authentic, spontaneous moments of intimacy, laughter, and kinship among friends, families, and lovers. If you’re not familiar with Elliott Erwitt, he is a phenomenal photographer with a very unique eye for humor and other compelling moments – you can check out his work at: www.elliotterwitt.com
And woohoo!!! I am beyond excited – my image will be published in Fall 2009 in the book Fresh M.I.L.K.: Friends, Families, Lovers & Laughter. AND I’m now in running for the grand prize of $50,000!!!
The story behind the image: we were on vacation with my parents in Jackson Hole. Jack and my father were out checking out the birds, and Thomas went out to say goodnight. Well, he got a little sidetracked. This is what I saw when I looked out the window – so I grabbed my camera FAST!!! Hope it makes you smile too!
