One of those special places that just draws me in and holds me. My buzzing brain is quiet for once. My skin softens. Little tendrils seem to take root. . . Looking at these images reminds me of our time there and fills me with such peace. So if we’re up and gone one day, you’ll know where to find us :0) Just kidding. But there does seem to be something magical about this place.
Funky green moss, rocks rocks rocks -big ones and little ones, brilliant orange mushrooms peeking out of the rocks and the moss (I didn’t even notice these until I’d been there awhile and then they were everywhere), the water just the right kind of cold, quartz gleaming, and the sunlight streaming in so that everything glowed, inside and out. I could go on but you get the idea.
I first found this place last year and shared one of my all-time favorite images (and a few others too) here: http://kathleenhunterphotography.com/?p=1205

Gragg-Prong Falls was not far away and was the perfect swimming hole.
Lastly, I’m always sharing photos of everyone else’s family so here’s a favorite photo of my family. Taken around 8:30 by the campfire – a moment I wanted to remember so I held the camera out and clicked, hoping we were in the frame somewhere. Perfection.
