We’ve been receiving lots and lots of text messages lately. . . no, not the kind you check on your phone. . .much much better than that. Thomas has been delivering all sorts of notes. . .
“Put the marker tops back on!!” This was the sign he posted on the arts and crafts door. Sadie Ellen forgets to put the marker tops on and it drives him crazy when his markers are dried out. . . Never mind that she can’t read so the sign will not help her remember to do this. . . it was a good idea anyway.
He was in a time-out in his room a few weeks ago, and he drew a picture of his dad in jail. It was like a bird cage on the second floor of the house. With a smiling sun and some very happy flowers. He must have drawn those after Jack was put in jail!! Hilarious. He then delivered it to Jack very matter of factly when the time-out was over. The next day he slipped Jack a note saying “Love is You.”
Lots and lots of notes and messages and signs. Everywhere. A whole new world of text. When I was volunteering in his classroom this past week, he slipped this little hand-made envelope onto my pile of keys and whatnot:
By the way, sorry I’ve been m.i.a. lately. My computer was sent off for a new motherboard – and that was oh so much fun, let me tell you. No computer for two weeks. The good news is that it came back running smoothly and that I’m back on track. Well, almost. I’m still catching up a bit and, well, to be honest, I’m just in love with spring right now. So I find myself leaving everything else behind in order to be outside with my kiddos :o) But I”ll be posting more very soon – I’m having fun playing with the spring flowers.
