Baby loggerhead sea turtles. They say 1 in 1000 survives. Not great odds. In spite of or I think because of those odds, my heart got pretty attached to those little turtles. Watching them crawl from their nest to the ocean, some 50 feet of dry sand. . . which had been raked and groomed by the guardians of their nest. And then the first wave that washed onto the shore welcomed the little turtles into the sea. Whoosh. Quite a journey. And quite an experience to witness. It settled into me. And became a way to think about all the different kinds of journeys happening around me and within me. . .
