Venice. Of all the places we went in Italy, Venice was probably the most unique. For obvious reasons. The water canals. Traveling by boat. The architecture. East meets West. There is also a different vibe there. Tiny streets folding back on themselves. Mystery.
Truth be told Venice was not my favorite part of Italy but it was undeniably beautiful and some of my most beautiful images are from that city. The color palette was stunning. The vibrant wash of peaches, blues, greens. The intricate iron lattice work gives the visual effect of lace. The windows, which I was particularly intrigued by when I was in Italy, were especially beautiful in Venice.
