Okay, back to India! People in India seemed to have mixed feelings about the camera. Some were quite suspicious or actively hostile towards the camera; some were curious about it in an uncertain way; others were shy and giggly about the camera; and a few openly wanted to be photographed ~ many but not all of these would ask for money :0) Made photographing people an interesting enterprise. . . Not wanting to offend, I was a little nervous when I asked these two if I could photograph them. It was subtle but I soon realized how proud these two were to be photographed. They received it as the offering that it was. Touched me.
